Goodmayes Apartments forms part of the wider One Goodmayes residential development in Ilford, a completed community of studio, 1, 2 and 3-bedroom apartments located within walking distance of both Goodmayes and Seven Kings stations, providing residents with direct access to the Elizabeth line and wider London transport network. Designed by Frank Reynolds Architects, the development delivers contemporary urban living across multiple residential buildings and represents a significant addition to the local housing stock.
The scheme comprises 6 residential blocks containing a substantial number of apartments, creating a modern new neighbourhood within a well-connected East London location. As with any development of this scale, achieving a consistent standard of quality across hundreds of homes required careful coordination between the main construction team and specialist fit-out contractors responsible for the final stages of delivery.
Capricorn Contracts was awarded the blinds package in February 2025 and supported the programme through to April 2026, supplying and installing a coordinated window treatment solution designed to enhance privacy, light control and everyday comfort throughout the completed apartments.
The selected dimout fabric was specified to balance privacy with natural daylight, helping to create bright and comfortable living environments while reducing glare for residents. Combined with the robust chain-operated mechanism, the system delivers reliable day-to-day performance and a clean, contemporary finish aligned with the overall design of the apartments.
Delivered across multiple buildings as part of the final fit-out programme, Capricorn’s installation helped ensure consistency throughout the development while supporting the transition from completed construction project to fully functional homes ready for occupation. The finished solution provides residents with effective light management, enhanced privacy and a high-quality finishing touch across the Goodmayes Apartments scheme.
