St John & St Elizabeth Hospital is one of London’s leading independent charitable hospitals, providing a comprehensive range of treatments and healthcare services within a modern clinical environment. Founded in 1856 and located in St John’s Wood, the hospital combines state-of-the-art medical facilities with a strong patient-centred approach, serving both private patients and the wider community. As a charitable organisation, hospital income also helps support the on-site St John’s Hospice and its specialist palliative care services.
The hospital continually invests in its facilities to ensure patients and clinicians benefit from high-quality, modern healthcare environments. Its extensive clinical infrastructure includes operating theatres, diagnostic services, specialist treatment areas, inpatient accommodation, and outpatient facilities designed to deliver exceptional standards of care. With patient wellbeing, privacy, and infection control remaining key priorities throughout the hospital, every aspect of the environment is carefully considered to support both comfort and clinical efficiency.
As part of ongoing improvements within the healthcare facility, Capricorn Contracts was engaged to provide specialist privacy solutions that would support the hospital’s operational requirements while enhancing patient experience throughout designated clinical areas.
Working alongside contractor Coffey and architect LSI, Capricorn Contracts supplied and installed a tailored package of healthcare privacy systems for St John & St Elizabeth Hospital, completed in December 2022. The project required solutions that would meet the demanding performance standards expected within a busy clinical environment while supporting patient dignity, privacy, and infection control.
Our installation included 50 Silent Gliss 6100 cubicle tracks, providing smooth, reliable operation across treatment and clinical spaces. To complement the tracking systems, we also supplied and fitted Marlux Uni-Glide Anti-Bac hospital curtains, a specialist healthcare fabric designed to help support hygiene protocols while delivering effective patient screening and privacy.
The completed installation contributes to a safe, comfortable, and functional healthcare environment, ensuring staff can efficiently manage patient spaces while maintaining the high standards expected within a leading London hospital. By combining durable cubicle tracking systems with antibacterial curtain solutions, Capricorn Contracts delivered a practical and long-lasting privacy solution tailored to the needs of a modern healthcare setting.
